Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, a member of Covenant Health, is looking for a fulltime core faculty member for our family medicine residency program.  The program is an unopposed, unaffiliated program supported by the Covenant Health Network of hospitals in the Greater Knoxville area of Tennessee.   Faculty are sought with a passion for excellence in outpatient medicine and scholarly activity.   The program is an 8/8/8 program that will enroll its 3rd class in July of 2026.   We have a new continuity clinic proximate to the hospital and have a rapidly growing panel of patients.    Faculty have created 4 tracks for focused electives for residents who choose to "cluster" their electives around areas of our faculty's expertise.  Current tracks include Behavioral Medicine, Geriatric/Palliative Care, Metabolic/Obesity Medicine and Direct Primary Care (which is the first such track in the country).  We seek to expand our POCUS, procedural and Women's Health Curriculum.  Join at the ground floor of an innovative program intent to master the use of telemedicine and integrated team care while honing critical thinking skills while harnessing emerging AI and technology in the primary care setting for the primary care practices of the future.
