The Opportunity:

Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Network Designer supporting an Intelligence Community customer’s CORE/wide-area (WAN), networks across multiple security domains. 

This position encompasses the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, global enterprise networks. The Senior Network Engineer will act as a key technical leader, driving the evolution of our network infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. This includes not only maintaining network stability and performance but also proactively engineering solutions to address new customer requirements and emerging technologies. Responsibilities include troubleshooting network incidents, collaborating with junior engineers, and remaining abreast of the latest advancements in networking. This role demands a strong foundation in networking principles, extensive experience with routing protocols (including BGP), hands-on expertise with cloud networking platforms, and a proven ability to translate business needs into robust network solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Focus will be on Network Engineering 

  • Coordination of system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies 

  • Provide problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for network issues. 

  • Escalate and communicate status to management and customers. 

  • Evaluate and monitor health and performance of the network including hardware and management software. 

  • Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies. 

  • Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all network configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation. 

  • Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to ensure attainment of performance and availability objectives. 

  • Evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network. 

  • Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices 

  • Follows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure problems. 

  • Maintain and configure network components to improve reliability and performance. 

  • Conduct site surveys, planning, and design support. 

  • Collaborate with the team across departments and locations  

  • Collaborative across external service providers and customer to resolve incidents and problems. 

  • Work independently and as part of integrated teams. 

  • Apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities. 

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of network and security systems. 

  • Act as technical interface with vendors and external stakeholders. 

  • Review and provide recommendations to technical documentation. 

  • Maintain outside plant cabling and manholes. 

  • Install and configure WAN hardware, including voice, video, and data systems. 

  • Support the development of system specifications, architecture designs, and integration plans. 

  • Implement risk management and quality assurance strategies. 

  • Support deployable networks for multiple mission partners. 

  • Travel to CONUS sites for deployments, installations, and maintenance. 

  • Develop and maintain customer's deployable communications suites. 


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Security Clearance: active TS/SCI w/ Poly

  • 10+ years related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques 

  • 6+ years’ experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment 

  • Understanding and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions 

  • Experience with CISCO and Juniper, switches, routers, Cryptographic devises, VPN and VPN client. 

  • Experience with Network analysis tools (CISCO Network Analysis Modules, Solar Winds Network Management, OPNET NetOne, HP Network Node Manager, etc.) 

  • Experience with CISCO firewall/VPN equipment (Adaptive Security Appliance, etc)

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$120,800 - $265,800
