A leading commercial real estate investment manager is seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting to join its finance team. This role provides broad exposure to accounting and financial reporting within an asset management environment, including support for investment-related entities and commercial real estate activities.
The ideal candidate will have 3 5 years of experience in asset management accounting or public accounting serving asset management clients, with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting processes.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statements.
Analyze financial activity and investigate accounting discrepancies.
Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Support accounting and reporting activities related to investment and commercial real estate entities.
Coordinate with internal finance, asset management, and investment teams on accounting matters.
Assist with external audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
Perform financial analysis and reporting for management.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3 5 years of professional accounting experience.
Experience within asset management or public accounting serving asset management clients preferred.
CPA preferred.
Strong understanding and application of U.S. GAAP.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Sage Intacct, SAP Concur, or IntegriData EAS is a plus.
