A highly regarded Am Law 200 law firm consistently recognized among the nation's top firms for culture, diversity, wellness, innovation, and attorney integration, is seeking a Corporate Associate with at least 3 years of experience to join its sophisticated Business Transactions practice in New York, Stamford, Hartford, Providence or Boston.

Practice Overview

The group advises clients across a broad range of industries on complex corporate and strategic matters, including:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Private equity transactions
  • Venture capital financings (debt and equity)
  • Joint ventures
  • Corporate governance matters
  • Complex commercial agreements
  • General corporate transactions

Attorneys in the practice work closely with clients ranging from emerging growth companies to established national and international businesses.

Candidate Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:

  • At least 3 years of sophisticated transactional experience in a law firm
  • Experience drafting and negotiating transactional documents relating to:
    • M&A transactions
    • Private equity and venture capital matters
    • General corporate transactions
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • The ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Experience with acquisition financing is helpful, but not required.

Candidates must be admitted, or eligible for admission, in the state corresponding to their primary office location.

Compensation

For candidates in New York and Massachusetts, the anticipated base salary range is approximately $195,000-$217,500, depending upon experience, class year, office location, and overall qualifications.
