Corporate Claims Paralegal

Irving, TX | Fully Onsite | $70,000 - $85,000 (Up to $90,000 for an Exceptional Candidate)

Our client, a growing and highly successful organization in the construction, utilities, and infrastructure space, is seeking a Corporate Claims Paralegal to join its in-house Legal Department in Irving, Texas. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced corporate paralegal who enjoys investigating claims, managing risk, and working closely with operations teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who can independently manage claims, review insurance documentation, coordinate subcontractor compliance, and build strong relationships across legal, operational, and insurance teams.

What You'll Do:

Claims Management

• Manage claims from initial intake through resolution.
• Investigate and assess a variety of claims, including:
• Property damage claims
• Utility damage claims
• Vehicle-related claims
• Personal injury matters
• Gather and analyze documentation, incident reports, and supporting evidence.
• Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders and operational personnel.
• Develop action plans and recommendations based on findings, company protocols, and risk management best practices.
• Coordinate with outside parties, insurance representatives, and legal counsel as needed.

Subcontractor Insurance & Contract Compliance

• Manage subcontractor insurance compliance and related contract requirements.
• Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for accuracy and compliance.
• Track policy renewals and expiration dates.
• Verify insurance coverage, endorsements, and contractual obligations.
• Identify deficient, expired, or potentially fraudulent insurance documentation.
• Partner with subcontractors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
• Maintain organized insurance and contract records.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience.
• Strong claims management experience required.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
• Knowledge of subcontractor management, insurance compliance, or contract administration.
• Industry experience within:
• Construction
• Utilities
• Pipeline transportation
• Infrastructure or related operational environments
• Strong investigative, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Paralegal certificate or paralegal degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
