Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Programs and Communications and working closely with senior leaders across the business, this role is responsible for defining and activating Nova’s corporate narrative, both externally and internally. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring customers, candidates, and employees clearly understand who New Nova is today, what’s changed, and why Nova is a trusted, innovative, quality-driven partner built for the future.

Externally, you’ll help reset market perception through disciplined, proof-based storytelling aligned to New Nova’s messaging pillars and delivered through a coordinated, modern communications strategy. Internally, you’ll bring clarity and cohesion to how we communicate, connecting employees to our strategy, culture, and priorities through compelling communication including but not limited to newsletters, town halls, leadership communications, and change initiatives, in close partnership with HR and business leaders.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong brand and storytelling instincts, utilizes contemporary technology and AI, and has a genuine passion for customer and employee experience. You are strategic yet hands-on, comfortable influencing at all levels of the organization, and excited by the opportunity to help build, shape, and scale the voice of a company in transformation.

Responsibilities:

External Corporate Communications

  • Owns and advances the New Nova corporate narrative across external channels
  • Ensure consistent, proof-based messaging that clarifies who Nova is today and why it’s different
  • Lead development of compelling corporate storytelling, leadership messaging, and thought leadership content
  • Partner with digital, regional, and segment teams to ensure clear channel roles and message consistency
  • Reduce fragmented or legacy messaging and elevate Nova’s external reputation

Brand Stewardship

  • Serve as steward of Nova’s corporate brand voice, visuals, and standards specifically strengthening our brand narrative and corporate positioning post-merger
  • Ensure correct use of corporate vs. portfolio brands across communications
  • Oversee corporate templates, presentations, brand assets, and identity touchpoints
  • Maintain consistency across internal and external communications, globally

Internal Communications

  • Own enterprise-wide internal communications strategy and cadence delivering timely, consistent internal communications
  • Partner with the Events team to deliver internal employee events and team-building programs that promote engagement and reinforce company culture.
  • Lead employee newsletters, town halls, leadership updates, and key initiatives
  • Translate strategy, change, and priorities into clear, employee-ready communications that strengthen alignment, reinforce culture, and keep employees informed
  • Support leaders with talking points, FAQs, and change communications
  • Reinforce One Nova culture, values, and behaviors through consistent messaging

HR & Talent Acquisition Partnership

  • Partner with HR on employer branding and recruitment communications
  • Support a social media strategy and develop content aligned to target desired candidates aligned with the talent acquisition strategy.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement communications
  • Ensure candidates and new hires experience a cohesive “New Nova” story
  • Align internal culture messaging with external employer brand positioning

Measurement & Effectiveness

  • Establish and track communications KPIs tied to brand awareness, engagement, and clarity
  • Use insights and feedback to continuously refine messaging and channels

Experience Requirements:

  • 7+ years in corporate communications, brand communications, marketing communications, PR, or related field.
  • Strong executive writing and editing; ability to simplify complex topics into clear, confident messages.
  • Must have excellent communications skills and be very detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated experience in LinkedIn/community/content programs and analytics-driven optimization
  • Strong project management, cross-functional leadership, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related)

  • Must be able to use basic office equipment: computer, printer, copier, telephone, etc.
  • Must be capable of listening to and communicating effectively with customers.

Work Location: Hybrid work schedule, onsite in our Waltham, MA office

Targeted Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000/year.
