About the Opportunity

A large, established manufacturer based in Corona, California is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting across its multi-site operations.
\n
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with executive and operational leadership, the Corporate Controller will oversee the consolidated close, financial reporting, cost accounting, job costing, inventory, treasury, budgeting, tax compliance, and internal control functions.
\n
This is a highly visible leadership position for a hands-on finance professional who can strengthen accounting infrastructure, improve visibility into manufacturing and project profitability, and translate financial results into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Direct corporate accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, cost accounting, and job costing.
- \n
- Own the consolidated month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across multiple entities and manufacturing locations.
- \n
- Prepare and present GAAP-compliant financial statements, management reporting packages, forecasts, and key performance indicators to executive leadership.
- \n
- Oversee job-cost and work-in-process reporting, standard costing, inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing variance analysis.
- \n
- Analyze costs, gross margins, and profitability by project, product line, facility, and customer.
- \n
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that protect company assets and improve financial accuracy.
- \n
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning in partnership with the CFO and operational leaders.
- \n
- Manage cash-flow forecasting, treasury activities, banking relationships, credit facilities, and debt-covenant compliance.
- \n
- Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory examinations with external accounting and tax advisors.

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- \n
- At least eight years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- \n
- At least four years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Director, or comparable leadership position.
- \n
- Significant accounting experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or other project- or job-based environment.
- \n
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls.
- \n
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing cost accounting, job costing, work-in-process reporting, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

- Active CPA license and/or MBA.
- \n
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, fabrication, HVAC, sheet metal, packaging, construction, or a related sector.
