Corporate Controller (Hybrid)

About The Role

Join our client as a Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. You'll ensure financial integrity, compliance, and support strategic business decisions, contributing to growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, close process, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to support executive decision-making.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Design and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Lead audit activities and manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Manage core accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, treasury, and cash management.
• Oversee inventory accounting and analysis.
• Develop and manage 13-week cash flow forecasts and analyze variances.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support company objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement across accounting systems and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or inventory-driven industries preferred.
• Proven success in leading audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; familiarity with Power BI, Access, and PowerPoint is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
