Kforce's client, a major construction services corporation in the Red Bank, NJ area, is adding a Corporate Controller to their team for a hybrid role. In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • Supervising a large team
  • The monthly close process
  • Analysis of operating results
  • Process improvements
  • Implementing best practices, tools, and AI-enabled solutions
  • Annual overhead budgets and quarterly expense forecasts
  • M&A due diligence, purchase accounting and post-acquisition integration efforts
  • Regulatory Reporting and supporting External CPA firm audits
  • Internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Tax compliance
  • Strategic and special projects

Requirements:

Technical:
  • CPA
  • At least 10-15 years, with 4-5+ as Controller or Assistant Controller
  • Construction Industry, Engineering or Architecture acceptable as well
  • Government sub-contracting and FAR (Federal Acquisition Reporting)/CAS (Cost Accounting Standards)/AASHTO (DOT compliance experience)
  • Pre and post M&A experience
  • Supervisor and Mentor skills for 10-15+ direct reports
Other:
  • Personality - must be social and people friendly
  • Light Travel to another office to say hello to executives and staff quarterly; Minimal out of state travel
  • Able to supervise and help mentor Accounting Manager(s)
  • Comfortable presenting results to CFO and other leaders
  • Hands-on; Someone comfortable in the details but also comfortable in executive circles

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
