customer base true supply‑chain visibility.Key Accountabilities Review, redline, and negotiate all types of contracts including Master Service Agreements, Professional Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Software licensing agreements, complex e‑commerce contracts, Independent Contractor Agreements, Agency and Trademark Agreements, NDAs, Release Agreements, Bailee Waivers, Settlement and Release Agreements, and draft templates and contracts for use.Review current contracts in place, revisit and amend as needed to put SEKO in the most favorable position possible.Conduct internal contract audits to ensure provisions are up‑to‑date and comply with the legal playbook and industry standards.Monitor contracts for compliance, verify that suppliers meet expectations, resolve service issues, track invoice approvals and payment.Provide support for Global Privacy Policies and other privacy rules and regulations, including updating current policies and statements of procedure.Assist with vendor vetting procedures, cross‑departmental functions, and revisions according to current industry standards.Support global initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion and Sustainability, and report to the executive team on safety‑first initiatives.Collaborate with the Legal team on corporate governance responsibilities: filing current documents, drafting resolutions, consents, reviewing and compiling documents, and maintaining the document management system and database.Participate in litigation support: judge major court cases, define strategy with appropriate parties, draft litigation holds, and maintain records.Provide continuing counsel on company compliance and legal matters and liaise with internal staff to define and develop policies, procedures, and programs.Collaborate with risk management on insurance renewals (cargo) to achieve cost savings while maintaining sufficient industry standards.Maintain and negotiate company property leases and equipment leases.Assist Human Resources by drafting employment agreements, negotiating staffing agreements, and preparing releases.Liaise with outside counsel on an as‑needed basis, including litigation, bankruptcy, trademark filings, and court claims.Defend SEKO's shipping terms, including lien rights, indemnities, and limits of liability.Track contracting activities and opportunities, compile data for internal and external presentations, issue resolutions, and escalation.Review and revise SEKO templates to standardize and bring them up to date.Assist compliance department initiatives and support various global locations to remain compliant with applicable regulations.Support the General Counsel, Vice President, and executive management on daily operational requests and school (or foreign equivalent).Licensed U.S. attorney with membership in at least one state bar (preferably IL) in good standing.5+ years of law firm and/or in‑house experience focused on contract law.Experience in Corporate Governance, vendor and supplier agreements, logistics agreements, warehousing agreements, technology licensing agreements, U.S. and foreign trademark registrations, compliance and defense, employment law, privacy law, GDPR/Data Privacy on a global scale, U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, OFAC regulations, and similar international statutes.Strong knowledge in Air and Ocean Charter reviews requiring immediate turnaround times.Preferred: Experience with logistics companies.Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $137,400 – $196,300 USD per year, with
