As a Corporate Counsel, you will support Best Buy's Financial Services business and B2B sales channel by advising on complex, high-visibility transactions. In this role, you'll partner closely with legal and business teams to provide clear, practical guidance on regulatory considerations and commercial agreements. You'll flex across priorities in a fast-paced environment while helping drive efficient, pragmatic contracting outcomes. This is a great opportunity to work on impactful deals and shape how we enable the business to move forward with confidence.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do

  • Draft and negotiate complex financial services and B2B commercial agreements
  • Provide guidance on financial services transactions, regulations, and required disclosures
  • Advise on contractual risk, deal structure, and client relationships
  • Partner with business and cross-functional teams to drive efficient contracting outcomes
  • Contribute to templates, process improvements, and contracting best practices

Basic qualifications

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Minnesota
  • 3 years of post-bar experience in a law firm or corporate setting
  • 3 years supporting financial services transactions and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulations and industry practices
  • Experience advising on customer disclosures and marketing materials
  • Ability to evaluate complex issues and provide practical legal guidance
  • Strong partnership skills with business and cross-functional teams
  • Experience supporting B2B sales or high-volume contracting environments
