About The Role

Join our client's Corporate Engineering team, focusing on Thermoforming within Amcor Flexibles North America. This role involves managing engineering projects, ensuring safety, and optimizing processes to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all project work adheres to safety standards and Amcor values.
  • Identify customer needs and define project scope by evaluating solutions.
  • Coordinate and prepare project documentation as directed by the manager.
  • Interface with departments and vendors to ensure timely and specification-compliant equipment delivery.
  • Manage project costs and schedules, and conduct project closeout and postmortem analysis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams and lead them when necessary.
  • Stay informed on industry practices relevant to Amcor products and equipment.
  • Assist with installation, checkout, start-up, and training as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, CS&E, or Controls/Automation Engineering.
  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of the Thermoforming process and familiarity with machine brands.
  • Ability to optimize cycle time and reduce scrap and energy use.
  • Experience in setup, troubleshooting, and quality inspection.
  • Proficiency in creating and reviewing technical drawings and specifications using computer software.
  • 30% travel requirement.
