    Description

    Summary:

    Discovers, cultivates, and solicits corporate prospects for financial support of the hospital. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic fundraising plan for such constituencies including, but not limited to, local corporations and local markets of national and international corporations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identifies and evaluates funding sources, with special emphasis on corporations who have major gift potential.
    • Develops a "moves management" plan for each prospect.
    • Establishes targets/goals and actively moves prospects along the developmental "pipeline."
    • Work with the corporate contacts to create the fundraising/campaign program and assist in organizing and implementing.
    • Solicits major gifts through campaigns, fundraisers and major gift projects.
    • Develops relationships with corporations to identify executive level individual prospects for personal major gifts.
    • Participates in strategic planning and corporate philanthropy. Initiatives.
    • Participates in Hospital/Development functions.
    • Involvement and representation on hospital wide committees.
    • Other duties as required

    Other information:

    Technical Expertise

    • Experience in fundraising Is required.
    • Experience in program management is required.
    • Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required.
    • Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
    • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Database management software is required; Raiser's Edge software is preferred.

    Education and Experience

    1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
