HR Manager

HR Manager will direct the activities of the Human Resources Department in a manner which achieves the goal of providing company and its subsidiaries with quality personnel capable of carrying out the strategic mission of each company.

HR Manager will have a firm grasp of all applicable employee and labor laws and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local statutes, regulations and employment guidelines for the company and subsidiaries and their personnel.

Incumbent will have a working knowledge of and be proficient in utilizing the latest and most up to date human resources management system software.

Incumbent will obtain the appropriate information and submit required reports and notifications necessary for the company facilities to operate in compliance with best management practices for HR management.

Incumbent will implement and oversee required employee and management training in relation to OSHA and Department of Labor requirements.

Incumbent will seek out and retain consulting firms to assist with compliance and development of human resource plans and/or best management practices for effective control of all phases of the company HR management and legal compliance.

Incumbent will work in conjunction with the IT Director utilizing employee payroll, time tracking, and spreadsheet functions for reporting purposes.

HR Manager will have direct supervisory responsibility for the safety director, security guards, HR assistants, and employee benefits clerk. Incumbent will maintain employee records, ensure proper compensation and work safety, and manage overall employee hiring, evaluation and labor relations for approximately one thousand employees in multiple states.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • BA in Human Resources or Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources.
  • Minimum 10 years experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential; managerial, decision-making and organizational skills.
  • A strong understanding of statistics and information technology.
  • Investigatory and writing skills are necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize work sequences.
