  • Actively participate in training and mentoring opportunities, seek feedback, and share knowledge with peers
  • Assist in compiling and publishing case management metrics

A day in the life

A typical day as a Corporate Investigator begins with reviewing your active caseload and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and complexity. You might start by reviewing CCTV footage related to a reported theft, then transition to conducting a witness/victim/person of interest interview for a separate fraud investigation. Throughout the day, you"ll document findings in a case management system, collaborate with your regional team on emerging incidents, and consult with your Regional Manager on sensitive matters. You"ll balance independent investigative work with team coordination, sharing insights, supporting peers on complex cases, and contributing to trend analysis that helps prevent future incidents. No two days are exactly alike, and the role requires adaptability, critical thinking, and a commitment to protecting people and assets across the enterprise.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here
