We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Corporate Leasing Agent to support our leasing and property management teams by managing the rental application and screening process from start to finish.
Position Summary
The Corporate Leasing Agent is responsible for reviewing rental applications, verifying applicant qualifications, coordinating with leasing teams and property managers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all screening activities are completed efficiently and in compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Company policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Application Processing & Review
- Review rental applications to ensure all required forms, documentation, and information have been submitted accurately.
- Verify employment, income, rental history, background screening results, and credit reports.
- Ensure applications are processed promptly and efficiently.
Applicant Communication
- Contact applicants to request missing documentation or clarification when needed.
- Communicate application status and decisions professionally, courteously, and in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the application process.
Compliance
- Ensure all applicant screening activities comply with Fair Housing regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Apply Company qualification standards consistently and objectively.
Recordkeeping & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized digital files for all applications and screening documentation.
- Upload and manage applicant information within the Company's property management software.
- Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Property Managers to review applications and assist with approval decisions.
- Collaborate with Leasing Consultants and other team members to ensure an efficient leasing process.
- Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.
Reporting & Confidentiality
- Prepare reports regarding application activity, approval status, and leasing metrics as requested.
- Handle confidential applicant information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework or a degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in leasing, property management, real estate, applicant screening, or administrative support preferred.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and tenant screening practices preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Yardi or other property management software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office technology.
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday
- Flexible scheduling may be required during periods of high application volume.
