Talis Group’s client is a full-service law firm with offices across multiple states. They are hiring a Corporate Legal Assistant to join their Lexington, KY office. This role will support the firm’s team that represent real estate developers and companies on large-scale infrastructure projects involving highly technical and long-term lease structures.
This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-value contracts tied to major commercial development projects. This will be a key role in drafting, organizing, & managing sophisticated legal documents.
This full-time, direct hire role has a salary range of $60-$70k, plus full benefits, 3 weeks of PTO and paid holidays. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, onsite.
Highlighted Duties:
- Draft, format, and proofread complex legal agreements related to construction, real estate development, and capital projects (such as purchase agreements and contracts.)
- Redline in Microsoft Word, ensuring accuracy across multiple contract versions.
- Manage large volumes of contracts, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with litigation support, including discovery, exhibit preparation, and e-filing.
- Track deadlines and coordinate communication across attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
- Support billing processes, including time entry review, invoice preparation, and revisions.
- Manage multiple inboxes and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working with contracts in a legal, corporate, construction, real estate, or related environment.
- Experience supporting contract work such as land development, construction agreements, capital equipment purchasing, or similar.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word (including redlining and table of contents), Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail with advanced proofreading and document formatting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
