A leading national law firm is seeking a Mid-Level M&A Associate to join its Chicago office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors, strategic buyers, sellers, portfolio companies, and investors in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions transactions.
• 3–6 years of M&A and corporate transactional experience
• Significant experience with mergers & acquisitions transactions required
• Experience representing private equity sponsors, strategic buyers, sellers, or portfolio companies preferred
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and ancillary transaction documents
• Experience managing due diligence and transaction workstreams
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
