Corporate M&A Associate

Ana Bird Legal Search is partnering with a sophisticated business law firm seeking a Corporate M&A Associate with 2 to 5 years of transactional experience for its Portland office.

This opportunity offers meaningful responsibility advising established and emerging businesses on corporate transactions across industries including technology, manufacturing, consumer products, life sciences, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition agreements and related transaction documents.
• Advise on corporate governance, securities compliance, and entity formation and maintenance.
• Assist with corporate financing transactions and related commercial matters.
• Coordinate due diligence, transaction execution, and closings.
• Manage competing transaction deadlines and collaborate directly with partners and clients.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of substantive corporate transactional experience.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
• Familiarity with corporate governance, securities compliance, and corporate finance.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
• J.D. from a well-regarded law school and active bar admission, preferably in Oregon, or eligibility for admission by waiver.
