Compensation

$260,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing public and private companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic investors in sophisticated domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of corporate transactional or mergers & acquisitions experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing public companies, privately held companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic buyers and sellers, and institutional investors

• Experience handling mergers & acquisitions, asset purchases, stock purchases, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and strategic investments

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, disclosure schedules, and other corporate transaction documents

• Experience conducting legal due diligence, managing transaction workstreams, and coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams through closing

• Experience advising clients regarding corporate governance and general corporate matters

• Experience with private equity transactions, cross-border transactions, or energy-related M&A is a plus

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
