Position Summary: The Corporate Operations Support role is responsible for providing comprehensive operational support within a fast-paced plastics distribution environment. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can effectively help manage daily branch operations while supporting inside and outside sales teams, warehouse functions, administrative needs and special projects as assigned by management. The role serves as a critical communication hub between customers, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring efficient order processing, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, as well as other duties may be assigned.
- Communicate and provide direct support to administrative operations staff across the company on an as needed basis as assigned by management
- Provide backup coverage as needed to those locations operating without an admin
- Within the assigned branch, serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries including but not limited to;
- Order status updates
- Complaint resolution
- Documentation of quality issues, returns and credits
- Purchase order follow-up
- Certification scanning
- Shipping delays
- Product availability issues
- All other tasks as assigned
- Manually invoice sales orders on an as needed basis
- Manage branch drop shipments and inter-branch transfers / supply chain transfers
- Occasionally receive purchase orders into the operating system.
- Collaborate with sales, accounting, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure outstanding customer service and procedure adherence.
- Manage general office operations including things such as filing, order of supplies and on-site vendor negotiations.
- Ensure continuous communication with branch teams, customers, and vendors.
- Perform accurate, high-volume data entry.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Research and resolve issues related to credits, RMAs, and accounting discrepancies
Education and Experience: (Required and preferred educational and experiential qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- High-school diploma required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5 plus years’ experience in a fast pasted administrative role
- Experience in project management
