Blue Owl is seeking an Intern to join the Corporate & Opportunistic Credit team within the Alternative Credit division based in New York. We seek to provide differentiated risk-adjusted returns through originating, executing, and managing investments, including senior secured, subordinated, and other downside-protected securities. This position will provide experience through Blue Owl’s summer training programming, extensive sourcing network, ability to underwrite complexity, and asset-based expertise on a lean investment team.
Responsibilities:
Analyze multiple potential investment opportunities simultaneously and engage in business analysis to develop and refine investment theses
Complete due diligence including review of investment target information and data room, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement review, interaction with management, use of consultants, review of third-party reports, etc.
Prepare analysis and memorandums used for internal discussions and formal investment committee approval processes
Participate in deal team discussions and presentations with investment committee
Manage overall transaction process in partnership with junior & senior investment professionals
Complete ad-hoc research for other investment professionals including thesis generation, market insights, regulatory impacts, etc.
Qualifications:
Rising Seniors as of Summer 2027, pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline required
Previous internship experience preferred
GPA of 3.75 or higher
Strong accounting, corporate finance, and quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments
Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to learn more
The anticipated base salary range for this New York City based position (or role) is $2,115.38 weekly.
