    Description

    Corporate Paralegal

Requires someone with exceptional attention to detail and expertise in managing resolutions and signature processing. This is a high-impact role within a small, fast-paced in-house legal department. This individual will operate with significant independence and autonomy, leading work streams and projects across intellectual property portfolio management, corporate governance, contract administration, litigation support, and legal operations. The ideal candidate thrives wearing multiple hats and brings a leadership mindset, functioning as a trusted partner to C-Suite and executive level leadership and outside counsel. Candidates who are energized by ownership, variety, and the opportunity to shape how a legal department operates will find this position especially rewarding.

    What you will be doing:

    • Manage the company's trademark and patent portfolio, including prosecution tracking, renewal deadlines, and coordination with outside IP counsel
    • Oversee entity management compliance, including CSC relationship management, annual filings, and certificates of good standing
    • Support corporate governance activities, including routine resolution preparation
    • Prepare and maintain business licenses and registrations across applicable jurisdictions
    • Manage CLM database and contract workflows, including signature and DocuSign processes
    • Lead CLM implementation and optimization projects
    • Perform routine contract review (e.g., NDAs), with training provided to expand contract review and administration responsibilities over time
    • Provide due diligence and document support for corporate transactions, including database management and deal flow
    • Manage subpoena intake and processing
    • Prepare and administer litigation hold notices
    • Coordinate insurance applications and data gathering for policy renewals
    • Process and track invoices for outside counsel and legal vendors
    • Maintain organized legal records, electronic files, and databases
    • Generate reports from legal software tools
    • Prepare documents and presentations for attorneys and legal staff
    • Manage routine lease administration and facilities-related legal tasks
    • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and contract managers as needed

What you need to be successful in this role:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred
    • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is a plus
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal or legal operations professional in an in-house legal department
    • Experience managing diverse responsibilities is strongly preferred
    • Experience managing an intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and patents
    • Entity management and corporate governance experience
    • License and registration management experience
    • Litigation management and support experience
    • CLM platform experience, with interest in or experience leading system implementation projects
    • Self-directed professional who takes initiative, works independently, and drives projects to completion with minimal supervision
    • Proven ability to lead work streams and manage projects from concept through execution
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Willingness to contribute across all levels of work, from strategic project leadership to routine administrative tasks
    • Proficiency with legal technology platforms; experience with Conga, CSC, DocuSign, and/or Salesforce is a plus
    • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and enthusiasm for adopting technology to improve efficiency
    • The role may require moderate physical effort, including occasional lifting of materials up to 10 pounds
