Job DetailsServes as the enterprise-wide safety authority across all US luxury hotel, casino, and real estate development properties. Reports to senior leadership to build, implement, and oversee a multi-site occupational health and safety program ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous safety culture improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Strategy: Develop and manage enterprise-wide safety programs, asset safety meetings, and culture-awareness initiatives across all properties.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with OSHA (29 CFR 1910 General Industry & 29 CFR 1926 Construction), Gaming Commission, and local/federal laws. Conduct systematic audits and risk assessments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Risk Management, Claims, HR, Legal, and Security on workers' compensation, liability claims, crisis management, emergency response, and policy enforcement.
- Incident Management: Direct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Training & Vendors: Design and deliver tailored training for gaming, hospitality, and construction crews; oversee third-party vendor/contractor safety compliance.
- Metrics, Budget & Team: Oversee safety budgets, track/report KPIs to executive leadership, and manage a team of regional safety professionals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, EHS, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications (Preferred): CSP required/strongly preferred; CHST, ARM, CSHM, or related safety/risk certifications highly valued.
Experience & Skills:
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience; multi-site oversight required. Hospitality, gaming, or large-scale real estate/construction experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of OSHA (1910 & 1926) standards, Gaming Commission safety regulations, and safety management/incident-tracking systems.
- Leadership: Strong executive presence, team management skills, budget management experience, and ability to influence cross-functionally.
