Overview:
Hughes Hubbard is looking for a Corporate Securities Associate to join our diverse corporate practice in NYC. This position will focus on securities and capital markets.    

Skills & Responsibilities:
• Draft materials relating to public and private offerings of securities, SEC disclosure requirements and corporate governance matters. Conduct legal research and analysis. Communicate and correspond effectively with colleagues, clients, other counsel; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Must have understanding of compliance and disclosure related securities laws ('34 Act, '33 Act, Regulations S-K, S-X and MA).
• Perform legal research primarily in federal and state securities law.
• Ability to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools in order to maintain expertise.
• Communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; able to organize and prioritize workload; able to understand and follow written and oral directions.

Education:
• JD degree
• Bachelor's degree
• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York.

Experience:
• Candidates must have securities and capital markets experience. Additional experience in other corporate areas is a plus.
• Candidates must have experience in a highly rated securities practice at a NY firm.
• Preference for candidates with stellar law firm employment history (limited changes since law school graduation).
• Candidates must have top academic credentials.

Salary Range

$260,000 - $365,000USD
