Corporate Trainee Development Program

Oriental's Corporate Trainee Development Program is an 18-month accelerated experience designed for high-potential graduates seeking to develop critical business, analytical, and leadership capabilities within a dynamic, and digital oriented financial environment. Through structured rotations, trainees will take on real responsibilities and contribute to business-driven initiatives that strengthen productivity, customer experience, and operational performance. The program integrates hands-on execution, mentorship, and cross-functional exposure to build a strong foundation for future career growth within Oriental. Participants will gain exposure to multiple business units such as Auto, Commercial & Trust, Credit Administration, Customer Intelligence & Operations, Digital Banking, Finance & Accounting, Insurance, Internal Audit, Legal, Marketing, Retail Channels Operations, Retail Lending, Risk & Compliance, Wealth Management, among others. This is a hybrid position based in Oriental Center, San Juan, PR.

What Will You Do

  • Drive Business Impact Through Projects: Lead and support projects with defined business objectives, contributing to improvements in efficiency, productivity, customer experience, and/or revenue generation.
  • Use Data to Inform Decisions: Analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that support business and operational priorities aligned to Oriental's strategy.
  • Strengthen Continuous Improvement: Evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and contribute to the design and implementation of more effective and efficient ways of working within a regulated environment.
  • Collaborate Across the Organization: Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the Bank, building strong working relationships while understanding how different business areas operate together.
  • Expand Business Acumen: Rotate across different units to build a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry, internal operations, and business drivers.
  • Own Your Development: Actively participate in mentorship, coaching, and structured learning experiences to strengthen leadership, communication, and execution capabilities.

Who Should Apply

  • Recent Graduates: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree within the last 24 months are preferred.
  • Fields of Study: Degrees in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience Level: Previous internship or project experience is preferred. Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities are expected.
  • Work Schedule & Location: This position operates in a hybrid environment based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the US required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent work authorization.
