Great Training Shows Up on the Job.
DuraServ is a national industrial services company operating across nine U.S. regions. Our field organization includes technicians, sales professionals, branch leaders, and corporate team members. As we grow - including through acquisitions - developing them well matters more than ever.
Training works when it is practical, well facilitated, and reinforced after the session. That is how managers become better coaches, and how sales professionals have stronger customer conversations. This role exists to make that happen.
As Corporate Training Manager, you'll be a training generalist who gets results in the room. You'll personally deliver curated leadership development programs for managers, support sales enablement initiatives in partnership with Sales leadership, and support onboarding and professional development across the business. From time to time, you'll also build or adapt materials for sales training, onboarding, and professional development, working with instructional design and subject matter experts to develop training resources.
If you're at your best leading a room of managers or sales professionals - and you're comfortable building materials when the need arises - we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Own
Leadership Development
- Personally facilitate curated leadership development programs for managers on coaching, feedback, accountability, communication, and performance conversations
- Bring established content to life through engaging facilitation and practice - including role-plays, skill drills, and real workplace scenarios - so managers leave ready to use what they learned
- Reinforce learning after each session through follow-up activities, coaching support, and checks on how skills are being applied on the job
Sales Enablement
- Partner with Sales leadership to set skill priorities, align training with sales goals, and reinforce skills in the field
- Coordinate and facilitate supplier-led product training so product knowledge connects directly to how our teams sell
Onboarding & Professional Development
- Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and blended programs that support onboarding, role-based learning journeys, and professional development across the team member lifecycle
- Help integrate newly acquired businesses into DuraServ's development programs
Instructional Design & Content Development
- As needed, develop or adapt presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, practice activities, and job aids for sales training, onboarding, and professional development programs
- Occasionally create eLearning content and work with instructional design and subject matter experts to build training resources
- Use generative AI and digital learning tools to speed preparation and improve the learner experience
Program Leadership & Evaluation
- Conduct needs assessments with business leaders to define program requirements and priorities
- Own the corporate training calendar - scheduling programs and coordinating logistics, communications, and resources across several concurrent initiatives
- Evaluate programs using participant feedback, assessment results, observed skill application, and relevant business indicators - then use what you learn to improve the next program
Who You Are
You don't hand the session to someone else. You lead it - and weeks later you check whether it stuck.
- An engaging facilitator - you lead instructor-led and virtual sessions for varied audiences and keep people practicing, not just listening
- A leadership development practitioner - you've facilitated established leadership programs for managers and know how to make coaching and performance conversations practical
- Sales-savvy - you've trained sales professionals and partnered with sales leaders to reinforce skills between sessions
- A skilled content builder - you create polished PowerPoint presentations and, when needed, adapt facilitator guides, participant materials, practice activities, and job aids, working with instructional design to build training resources
- A trusted business partner - you turn performance gaps into learning priorities, and you'll recommend a different solution when training isn't the right answer
- Organized across priorities - you manage a busy training calendar and several programs at once while keeping quality and timelines on track
- Focused on results - you look past completion rates to whether people are using new skills and whether it's helping the business
What We're Looking For
Required
- 7+ years of relevant corporate training experience at a company with $1B+ in revenue, supporting varied audiences in a complex, multi-location organization
- Demonstrated experience personally facilitating established leadership development programs for managers - including coaching, feedback, accountability, communication, and performance conversations
- Active facilitator or coach certification from a globally recognized talent or leadership development vendor (e.g., DDI, Korn Ferry, FranklinCovey) - only facilitator or coach certifications qualify; other credentials from these organizations do not meet this requirement, and certification must be paired with demonstrated facilitation experience
- Prior experience personally delivering training to sales professionals - covering selling skills, customer conversations, product knowledge, and sales processes - and partnering with sales leaders to reinforce skills
- Ability to develop or adapt facilitator guides, participant materials, practice activities, job aids, and occasional eLearning content when needed
- Experience leading needs assessments, coordinating concurrent training initiatives, and evaluating skill application and business outcomes
- Strong PowerPoint skills, including the ability to build clear, polished, and engaging presentations; proficiency with Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
Preferred
- High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience with Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar authoring tools
- Experience in industrial services or field service organizations with a distributed workforce
- Experience supporting acquisition integration from a training and onboarding perspective
- Practical experience using generative AI and digital learning tools
What's in It for You
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
- Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, and 401K with company match
- Company-provided life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
- A role where you see your work in action - both in the room and on the job afterward
- A broad scope across leadership development, sales enablement, onboarding, and professional development
- Direct partnership with Talent Management leadership and visibility with sales, operations, and functional leaders
- Up to 20% travel that keeps you connected to the field
- A growing national organization investing in its training infrastructure - with room to help shape what it becomes
A Direct Note to the Right Candidate.
If you've been in a role where training ended when the session did - or where you handled logistics while someone else did the teaching - this role is different.
At DuraServ, you'll lead the room, build materials when the need arises, and work with sales and operations leaders so new skills show up in daily work. Your credibility will come from engaging facilitation, practical content, and consistent follow-through.
Facilitate the momentum. Here, that's the job.
