Job Description:

Internal Audit Manager- Treasury

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Internal Audit Consultant to support internal audit engagements for a global banking client. This role will participate in the execution of risk-based audits, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, and assess compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and operational processes. The consultant will collaborate with client and engagement team stakeholders to identify risks, document findings, and support audit reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute internal audit and risk assessment activities across business and operational functions.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes.
  • Perform audit testing, document results, and communicate observations and recommendations.
  • Assess compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyze operational processes within treasury and related banking functions to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare audit workpapers and support the development of audit reports and stakeholder presentations.
  • Collaborate effectively with client management and engagement leadership throughout the audit lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing internal audit activities within the financial services or banking industry.
  • Knowledge of treasury operations, liquidity management, cash management, or related banking processes.
  • Understanding of banking regulatory requirements and control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience supporting internal audit engagements for large global banking institutions preferred.
