About this opportunity:
Assists the Commanding Officer of the day-to-day administrative detail involved in planning, coordinating, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the operations of all areas of finance, accounting, budgeting, property management, IT, and DHQ HR.
Ensures that day-to-day operations of the same are in compliance with the policies and decisions of the Corps. Compiles data, reports and statistics for major budget and grant proposals. Prepares and presents monthly Advisory Board reports. Assumes additional responsibilities in the absence of the Officer in Charge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises, assigns, instructs, monitors, and evaluates the work of staff responsible for the financial, budgeting, bookkeeping, computer systems, HR, and property management, functions.
- Supervises, develops, coordinates, and implements all areas of finance, accounting, budgeting, and related business activities.
- Makes decisions regarding day-to-day operations of assigned departments; assumes additional decision-making responsibilities and handles all business matters in the absence of the Officer in Charge.
- Directs and supervises all property matters including new construction, routine maintenance of buildings and grounds as well as maintenance and purchase of vehicles; ensures that up-to-date inventories are maintained on all equipment.
- Reviews, monitors, and approves expenditures to ensure compliance with budget constraints, monitors incoming funds to ensure compliance with budget projections conducts presentations at Advisory Board meetings.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field, AND
- Three years progressively responsible administrative experience, OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
