TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities in an assigned correctional facility. They function within their legal scope of practice and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization and practice setting. Work is performed under the direction of a registered nurse as part of a total correctional managed health care team in providing safe and competent care to patients.

• Reports data, identifies and reports alterations in patient responses to assist in the identification of problems and formulation of goals and outcomes.
• Prepares and operates necessary equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assists with or performs exams and procedures: Assistance in exams and procedures is conducted within the LVN scope of practice.
• Administer or assist with the administration of medications to patients: Ensures patient medications are administered following clinical and compliance policies and procedures.
• Assess and triage patient care requests: Receives, documents, assesses, and responds to patient care requests according to policy and standards.
• Performs nursing rounds as needed in all required areas.
• Other duties as assigned: Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in the job classification and/or position description.
• Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities in an assigned correctional facility.

• Experience with electronic health records
• Previously worked in a dynamic health facility under the direction of supervising nurses.
• Experience in a correctional setting.
