Correctional Officer Full-Time Position The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 to $21.64, starting pay within this range is determined based on the assigned role, relevant experience, and qualifications Position Overview: The purpose of this classification is to ensure the safe, legal, and humane custody and care of persons incarcerated in the Effingham County Prison. PHYSICAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS Work is performed in a correctional facility environment with exposure to potentially volatile or unpredictable individuals. Duties may require: standing and walking for extended periods; responding to emergencies; physical restraint of individuals; operating security equipment; and working varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
