Certified Medication Aide Job Description:
Performs direct nursing tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and hygiene needs, and obtaining certain lab specimens.
Charts observations and activities, reporting pertinent changes in the patients condition.
Performs delegated or other specialized functions as educationally prepared.
Assists in maintaining and providing a clean, safe environment.
Orders, receives and stores supplies and performs basic clerical functions.
Participates in follow-up activities and tracking clients, schedules appointments and performs other related tasks.
Provides case finding and recruitment of at risk persons for comprehensive health services.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted Oklahoma license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Prefers current certification in good standing by the Oklahoma State Department of Health for Glucose Monitoring and Insulin Administration.
Minimum of 1 years of recent experience within the last 3 years as a Certified Medication Aide.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
