Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.
Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.
Provide nursing care under the direction of an RN, physician, or other authorized health care provider.
Administer medications as directed.
Provide bedside nursing care, including services requiring sterile techniques. Observe, measure, record, and report indications of patient health status.
Perform more specialized tasks routinely, such as catheterizations and suctioning and others sparingly, such as IV therapy, with additional training.
Administer blood and blood products.
Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted NY license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of one (1) year/s of recent experience as an LPN.
Additional certifications may be required.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
