Job Title: Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 2nd Shift

Payrate: $30-$36 an hr

Shift: 2nd Shift — 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (30-min unpaid lunch)
Overtime: May be required

Job Summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring a Correctional LPN to support nursing operations at SCI Waymart . In this role, you’ll provide general nursing care, administer medications and treatments, assist with daily living activities, and respond to medical emergencies in a secure correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and clinical duties within LPN scope and training
• Check vital signs, administer medications, and perform ordered treatments
• Carry out therapeutic treatments as prescribed and document care provided
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and hygiene needs as required
• Observe and report inmates’ physical and emotional status/behavior changes
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR when appropriate
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe clinical environment
• Maintain adequate supplies/equipment; assist with incident reports as needed
• Physical requirements include stair negotiation in housing units, lifting/supporting for repositioning/transfers, pushing carts/wheelchairs, manual dexterity for patient care, and ability to hear/use a stethoscope

• Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Pennsylvania Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligible to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensure Examination
  • Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to enter health data into an electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
