Shift Details:
Full Time Schedules
Some weekends may be required
8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)
Days- could be 1st or 2nd shift 8 hour shifts, both weekday and weekend 13 week initial duration Auto Offer 40 hours/week guaranteed, but candidates must still have open availability for scheduling as needed per the client scheduling policy. Only considering candidates with current/active CA license. Must be LCSW or LPCC US Citizenship required for ICE clearance - expedited clearance in place for new activation - candidates will be subject to thorough background & credit investigation for clearance ICE Clearance is taking 4-6 weeks to obtain. Can start as soon as ICE clearance is received.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
Provides treatment to inmates by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates.
Consults with psychiatry, mental health, nursing, medical, educational, chaplain, security staff, and others, as applicable to gather information and understanding into the reasons for the escalation of problems behaviors and changes in mental health condition of inmates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Five (5) years of clinical experience which includes two (2) years in a comparable job position.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a degree in a related clinical area.
Must possess appropriate LPC, LCSW, LMFT certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.
A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.
Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
