Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Healthcare
Pay: $53.00/hour | Full-Time Contract | Weekly Pay

Position Details

• Pay Rate: $53.00 per hour
• Full-time contract assignment
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours weekly)
• Every other weekend required, holidays as needed
• 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts may be available depending on facility needs
• Flexibility with shift availability is a plus
• Travel Stipend Available if more than 50+ miles from facility 

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments, screenings, and physical examinations.
• Assess, triage, and treat acute, chronic, and urgent medical conditions.
• Provide nursing care for patients with medical and mental health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform wound care and other nursing interventions.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency nursing care.
• Monitor cardiac status, manage catheters, perform venipuncture, start IVs, and provide diabetic care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current, active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Registered Nurse experience.
• At least one (1) year of correctional nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS certification 
• Current TB Test/Chest X-Ray
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
