MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Corrosion Systems Analyst to join our team at SURFMEPP in Portsmouth, VA. This is an onsite position.

Job Summary:

The Surface Maintenance Engineering, Planning, Program (SURFMEPP) maintains, monitors, and refines Class-wide and Individual-Ship Maintenance Plans for all non-nuclear surface ships to ensure material readiness for the projected service life, develop life-cycle strategies to address system upgrades, and fully implement the Class Maintenance Plan into each surface ship's maintenance schedule and availability planning process. SURFMEPP is headquartered at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct quality assurance Health Checks on corrosion maintenance packages, and present/explain the results to the appropriate SURFMEPP stakeholders.
• Retrieve Navy maintenance database extracts, and navigate Navy and U.S. Government information Systems (IS) in support of assigned duties.
• Apply prescribed engineering guidance and analytical judgment to corrosion work reported by assessment activities to support the maintenance planning process
• Develop and present findings, reports or recommendations to analysts, employees, managers inside or outside of the organization, agency heads or other high-ranking officials using Microsoft products used by SURFMEPP
• Have an understanding of the government maintenance team and private shipyard organizations, as they relate to condition assessment and depot level maintenance execution
• Harvest and analyze data from various Navy ship maintenance databases
• Demonstrates ability to follow direction and work within a team.
• Good customer relations/interaction skills
• Mentors less experienced employees

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of Naval Surface or Corrosion experience
• Experience with Navy protocol and procedures as it relates to interacting with Civilian personnel or Naval officers
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years relevant professional Naval Surface or Corrosion experience preferred
• Experience with Navy Maintenance databases a plus, especially: Corrosion Control Information Management System (CCIMS); Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) applications Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) and Validate, Screen and Broker (VSB)
• Experience in commercial/industrial paint and preservation of metallic structures
• Communicates with leadership on impediments/obstacles to assigned duties, in order to support a way forward

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current or active Secret Clearance or higher

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $59,100.00-$98,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
