Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.\n \nSummary:\n \nThe Cosmetic Services Coordinator acts as a patient liaison and program developer for the Cosmetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service Line. The coordinator works directly with physicians, patients, and other Rush care teams to implement processes to promote the highest standards of patient care including satisfaction, throughput, program development, and outreach/marketing strategy. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.\n \nOther information:\n \nRequired Job Qualifications:\n\n High School Diploma/GED\n Three or more years of experience, with increased responsibility, in surgical practice required.\n Experience with practice management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\n Excellent written and oral communication skills.\n Ability to understand patient concerns and handle them appropriately.\n Ability to discuss financial arrangements with patients comfortably.\n Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements.\n \nResponsibilities:\n\n Meets with the Cosmetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery surgeons to discuss patient care cases and methods to improve clinical coordination pathways, patient throughput, patient and family education, and efforts to optimize clinic operations.\n Acts as a point of entry for cosmetic patients.\n Discusses cosmetic consultations, cosmetic procedures, and skin care services with prospective patients over the phone.\n Discusses fees and financial policies with cosmetic patients after their consultation\u2014provides written quotes and answers patient questions.\n Schedules all surgeries and coordinates patient pre-operative paperwork, H&P, examinations, and lab work, and confirms written consent for procedures.\n Liaise with Department of Surgery marketing team to ensure they have all necessary information needed to promote the practice.\n Initiates and/or implements practice enhancement programs; actively promotes practice services in the community. Aides in management of social media platforms for the practice as needed.\n Maintain patient confidentiality by following the HIPAA Compliance Plan established by the practice.\n* Other duties as assigned.\n \nRush is an equal opportunity employer.
