Cosmetology Teacher Assistant- Afternoon/Evening

Assabet Technical Institute (ATI) is seeking a part-time Cosmetology Teacher Assistant to support our Cosmetology program. We are looking for an experienced cosmetology professional who enjoys working with students and wants to help prepare the next generation of cosmetologists for success in the industry.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:30-7:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cosmetology Instructor with classroom and hands-on salon instruction.
• Provide individual and small-group support as students practice cosmetology skills and techniques.
• Reinforce proper sanitation, safety, tool use, and professional salon practices.
• Assist with demonstrations, student practice, supplies, equipment, and classroom preparation.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional classroom and salon environment.
• Reinforce professionalism, communication, customer service, and workplace expectations.
• Support and encourage students as they develop their technical skills and work toward program completion and professional licensure.
• Work collaboratively with the Cosmetology Instructor and ATI staff to support student success.
