Cost Accountant
Shift: 1st, (8am-5pm)
Pay: $70-$90k/Yr (Based on experience)
We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where your insights directly influence operational efficiency, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
Job Description:
- Analyzing operational costs and driving efficiency improvements & waste reduction
- Preparing and managing budgets vs. actuals reporting
- Performing month-end & year-end close (journal entries, reconciliations, trial balance)
- Maintaining and improving standard cost systems & inventory valuation
- Identifying and explaining cost variances (actual vs. standard)
- Managing working capital metrics (DSO, DPO, DIO)
- Producing executive-level cost reports for leadership decision-making
- Strengthening internal controls and accounting processes
- Partnering with operations & production teams to ensure accurate cost data
- Leading the annual financial statement audit process
- Supervising AP & AR accounting staff
- Supporting special projects as needed
