Cost Accountant

Minimum 2+ Years experience in Cost Accounting / Manufacturing Accounting

Venteon is currently seeking a Cost Accountant to fill an opening with an Industry Leader and Employer of Choice with headquarters in the Metro Detroit area. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and wants broader exposure within a fast-growing organization.

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in manufacturing finance or accounting, strong understanding of product costing, and the ability to support a high-volume, ad hoc workload in a lean and evolving environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of cost accounting concepts and manufacturing cost analysis

• Familiarity with bills of materials, SKUs, product costing, and pricing support

• Strong Excel and analytical skills

• Ability to work onsite in Detroit, Michigan

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day cost accounting activities within a manufacturing setting

• Build, update, and analyze material costings and product pricing information

• Assist with BOM maintenance, SKU-level analysis, and related costing initiatives

• Provide financial support for quotes, RFQs, and new product opportunities

• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders on plant-related analysis and reporting

• Assist with general accounting needs, including support tied to AP and AR processes

• Analyze manufacturing cost drivers and help identify opportunities for improvement

• Contribute to process enhancement efforts in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
