We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our energetic team. As a leading player in the manufacturing industry, we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers and a strong understanding of cost accounting principles. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys the challenge of complex financial projects, and is experienced in standard cost accounting, Sarbanes Oxley Audits, Account Reconciliation, and Internal Controls.
Responsibilities:
As our Cost Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our company's cost accounting data. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
1. Developing and implementing cost standards for materials and labor.
2. Designing and implementing cost accounting systems for inventory valuation and cost control.
3. Conducting regular Sarbanes Oxley audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Performing account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities.
5. Evaluating and improving internal control systems to enhance financial operations and performance.
6. Preparing detailed reports and forecasts to help management understand the cost structure and make informed decisions.
7. Collaborating with other departments to establish best practices for cost accounting procedures and systems.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of standard cost accounting, Sarbanes Oxley audits, account reconciliation, and internal controls.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
6. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
9. A team player mentality, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
