    Description

    We are seeking an analytical, hands‑on Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join our Columbus‑area production and finance team. You will serve as the financial backbone of our manufacturing operations, owning full‑cycle cost accounting, driving cost efficiency, and directly partnering with plant operations to optimize margins.ResponsibilitiesDrive cost control by analyzing material, labor, and overhead variances. Maintain standard costing models and evaluate production data to uncover actionable cost‑reduction opportunities.Execute the month‑end close by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating comprehensive management reports. Ensure all records strictly adhere to GAAP and corporate policies.Partner with leadership on annual budgeting and rolling forecasts. Track departmental spending against targets and deliver insightful variance reports.Leverage SAP to optimize financial data management and build custom Excel tools to improve reporting efficiency. Facilitate internal and external audit processes.Coordinate closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering teams to provide financial insights, track continuous improvement initiatives, and execute ad‑hoc projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.1 to 3 years of hands‑on accounting experience (cost or manufacturing focus is a major plus).Solid foundation in month‑end close, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.#J-18808-Ljbffr
