We are seeking a Cost Accountant to work in our Alpha Omega, LLC location.Job OverviewThe Cost Accountant will primarily be responsible for maintaining the company's product & labor cost while continually analyzing cost of goods manufactured. This position identifies cost variances and investigates the reasons and solutions for the differences. Additional responsibilities include monitoring inventory accuracy and assisting with all aspects of quality control.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze cost reports to assist in budgeting and financial planning.Monitor and report on cost variances and inefficiencies.Develop and maintain standard costs for our products.Conduct variance analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.Collaborate with production to ensure cost control measures are in place.Analyze profitability and cost structures for new product lines.Assist in the preparation and review of capital expenditure proposals. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Provide financial insights and recommendations to management based on cost analysis.Assist with quality control and SQF certifications. Ensure proper and required paperwork is developed and maintained.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience with cost accounting software (Entrée system & Strategy Bytes a plus).Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Advanced Excel & MS Office skills and experience with data analysis tools.Familiarity with cost accounting standards and practices in manufacturing industries.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (experience working with meat a plus).Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or relevant experience.Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role.In‑depth understanding of cost accounting and budgeting principles.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Attention to detail and elevated level of accuracy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
