Lakeside Foods is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the accurate and timely costing, reporting, and analysis of products across Lakeside Foods, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, product costing, and business decision support through strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and analyze cost reporting for direct labor, overhead, warehouse, selling, G&A, and interest using appropriate costing methods
- Support monthly, fiscal, budget, and projection close schedules
- Develop and maintain profit‑by‑product reporting and supporting schedules
- Support preparation of Income Statement components, including cost of goods sold and warehouse costs
- Prepare customer profitability reporting and support Sales with pricing analysis
- Ensure accuracy of cost data through proper use of accounting systems and tools
- Review or support work of cost accounting team members as needed
- Perform assigned product costing activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Support special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of accounting experience with ability to apply accounting principles
Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and manipulation
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and professional judgment
