LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Cost Accountant for a growing, advanced manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cost accounting, inventory analysis, and financial reporting, along with advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP system. This role offers the opportunity to partner directly with plant leadership, gain exposure across operations, R&D, and commercial teams, and play a key role in driving financial insights and process improvements within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the plant by providing financial analysis, cost tracking, and reporting
  • Maintain and update standard cost structures, including conducting ongoing variance analysis
  • Perform annual cost roll-ups and support cost planning initiatives
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including KPIs, cost analysis, and performance metrics
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes
  • Partner with operations, R&D, and sales teams to develop cost estimates for new products
  • Analyze inventory activity and support cycle counts and cost accuracy initiatives
  • Complete month-end and year-end close responsibilities, including journal entries and reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies within the facility
  • Support audit and tax preparation activities, including required documentation
  • Generate ad hoc reports and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, or financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, formulas, reporting tools)
  • Experience working with ERP systems
