Job Purpose

This role supports our financial operations by analyzing costs, evaluating production efficiency, and assisting in inventory and margin analysis. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate cost data and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Role's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze cost data, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.

  • Perform variance analysis (e.g., actual vs. standard, budget vs. actual) and provide insights to management.

  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to understand cost drivers and ensure data accuracy.

  • Support inventory valuation processes and cycle/physical counts.

  • Help with month-end close activities, including cost entries and correcting subledger costing errors.

  • Handle confidential information related to cost and gross margins from customer sales.

  • Administer the freight claims process for inventory damaged by carriers.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, or relevant experience in a cost accounting position.

  • 0-2 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Experience

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP is preferred).

  • Understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
