Cost Analyst

Job Description

As a cost analyst, you are passionate about uncovering the story behind the numbers through diving into the root cause of a challenge, analyzing data, and developing recommendations that drive smarter decisions. We need an analyst like you to help our Navy clients solve complex problems and improve program performance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate data and develop analytical approaches to support cost estimation, financial modeling, and program assessment
  • Help shape data-driven strategies using methods such as statistical analysis, cost-benefit analysis, lifecycle cost estimation, and what-if scenario modeling
  • Work with cross-functional teams consisting of technical experts, acquisition professionals, and industry experts to analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data
  • Develop cohesive presentations to communicate findings, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to program meetings that inform acquisition and budgeting decisions

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience performing detailed cost estimation analysis or forecasting
  • Experience developing and evaluating metrics and data trends over a defense acquisition program lifecycle
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing cost and technical data to develop functional cost models
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule Analysis
  • Ability to work in a classified environment
  • TSSCI clearance
  • Bachelors degree in an Economics, Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting Navy Acquisition Program Offices
  • Experience in risk and uncertainty analysis
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplemental
  • Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Masters degree in Research Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business
  • Defense Acquisition University Business - Cost Estimating or PMP Certification
  • Certified Cost Estimator Analyst (CCEA) or Professional Cost Estimator Analyst (PCEA) Certification

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 annualized USD.
