AWS Supply Chain is seeking a highly effective candidate to design and implement innovative solutions that deliver the best operating and lowest cost infrastructure in the world. This individual will own partnering with the supply chain and engineering owners to aggregate the costs of critical AI/ML hardware and report the latest cost status to senior leadership. They"ll be responsible for working with product managers and engineering to stay up-to-date with the latest engineering changes and being the single-threaded owner for reporting costing information in leadership reviews. This individual will influence and partner with cross functional teams including hardware engineering, supply chain, quality and operations.

A successful candidate will have experience managing complex technical BOM costing, tracking large cost reduction activities and navigating constant technical hardware design changes. They are comfortable working in a highly ambiguous setting and will combine a strong knowledge of supply chains with a proven ability to program manage cross-functional teams and effectively operate at all levels of the organization, including to senior executives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Operate as the single threaded owner from supply chain for rolling up material costs for strategic AI/ML products.
  • Work cross-functionally to gather feedback from supply chain, engineering and product managers and ensure latest cost roll up reflects known engineering changes.
  • Own cost reduction roadmap by engaging owners across commodities. Successfully communicate this to leadership through written and verbal updates.

Deliver AWS's cost objectives through detailed understanding of all cost drivers and bill of material reviews.

  • Inform and influence senior leadership about business status, risk and opportunities via written narratives.
  • Prepare and present detailed data-driven business reviews with senior management, focused on procurement/sourcing execution and continuity of supply.
