About the Job Cost Engineer (Electrical)

Role & Responsibility

- Negotiate commercial terms on construction and services agreements. - Substantiate andnegotiate change orders with sub-contractors. - Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for electrical systems (e.g., MV/LV distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, telecom, etc.). - Analyze drawings, specifications, and technical documents to support accurate cost forecasting. - Manage and process change orders related to electrical scope, including pricing and cost justification. - Monitor actual costs vs. estimated budgets; perform cost variance analysis and update forecasts. - Support procurement and contract teams with scope alignment and pricing breakdowns. - Evaluate subcontractor proposals, payment applications, and change requests. - Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Field Supervisors, and Schedulers to maintain cost control. - Generate and present periodic cost performance reports to internal and external stakeholders. - Ensure all cost-related processes follow corporate standards and client requirements.

Qualification

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of experience in cost engineering, estimating, or quantity surveying for electrical systems in construction projects. - Solid understanding of electrical construction methods, equipment, and installation standards. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools - Experience with construction contract types such as Lump Sum, GMP, Cost-plus, and their cost tracking implications. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications accurately.

Preferred

- Previous experience on semiconductor facilities, or industrial MEP projects - Bilingual (English, Korean) Preferred but it is not critical factor
